Pimples, blackheads, whiteheads and other facial skin problems are common. Almost verybody, at some point in their lives, has them. Having perfectly glowing and healthy skin is what most of us wish for. However, not all of us are blessed with beautifully radiant skin. While facial care treatment is important, it also pays to know the various facial skin problems and learn how to avoid them.

Acne is the most common of all facial skin problems. Nearly everyone has experienced having a “zit” on their face. This skin condition usually strikes around puberty and goes away as we reach adulthood. However, there are instances when acne still persists even beyond adolescence.

Eczema is a serious skin condition that involves red, dry and itchy rashes. This skin problem is common among children and is believed to be hereditary. Other cases of eczema may be caused by environmental pollutants, stress and exposure to allergens.

Wrinkles are common in older people. When we reach an older age, wrinkles naturally appear. However, there is also a condition known as premature aging where wrinkles start to appear early. This is due to living an unhealthy lifestyle — smoking, bad eating habits, stress, exposure to UV rays, etc.

Rosacea is identified as red spots on the face. This inflammatory condition is common in Caucasian people. Alcohol, spicy foods and sun exposure, among others, trigger rosacea.

Warts appear not only on the face but also on the body. These ugly blemishes are likely due to viral infection. Many people opt to remove them through surgery.
